It is subtropical and is noted for its lush vegetation, including a variety of wild orchid and the flower-bearing Barringtonia tree. There are hundreds of species of birds, as well as crocodiles, hippopotamuses, leguans, and mongooses. Headquarters are at Mtubatuba.
