释义 | Saint Peter's College college, Jersey City, New Jersey, United States private, coeducational institution of higher learning in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S. It is a liberal arts college affiliated with the Jesuit order of the Roman Catholic church. The college offers undergraduate degree programs in business, computer science, education, health-related professions, and arts and sciences. It also offers master's degree programs in business, nursing, accounting, and education. Total enrollment is approximately 3,100. The school was established in 1872, and enrollment began in 1878. Owing to strains caused by World War I, the college closed in 1918 but reopened in 1930. St. Peter's first admitted women into evening courses in the 1930s, and it became completely coeducational in 1966. A campus at Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, primarily an adult education branch, opened in 1975. The college's first graduate program was offered in 1979. |
