释义 | Buderim Queensland, Australia town, southeastern Queensland, Australia, about 62 miles (100 km) north of Brisbane by the Bruce Highway, on the Sunshine Coast. The town was proclaimed in 1869, its name coming from an Aboriginal word for honeysuckle. The red volcanic soil of the area produces avocados, citrus fruits, vegetables, and ginger. The town lent its name to a brand of ginger, although the ginger-processing plant (among the world's largest) has moved to the nearby town of Yandina. Tourism is a major component of the economy. Pop. (2006) 25,201. |
