group of languages that form part of the Eastern Sudanic (Eastern Sudanic languages) branch of the Nilo-Saharan language family. Tama and Sungor (or Erenga) are spoken on either side of the border between Chad and The Sudan (Sudan, The), and Mararit is spoken in Chad.
