释义 | Tatra Mountains mountain range, Europe also called High Tatras, Slovak Vysoké Tatry, Polish Tatry Wysokie ![]() The mountain slopes are covered with spruce woodlands to 6,300 feet, above which is an alpine zone. Fauna includes bears, chamois, marmots, and eagles. The Tatras have many high-lying lakes, hanging valleys, and summer and winter sports resorts. With the Slovakian-Polish frontier running along the summits, the area embraces two national parks: Tatra National Park (Poland), occupying 82 square miles (212 square km), and Tatry National Park (Slovakia), occupying 286 square miles (741 square km). |
