释义 | Tottori prefecture, Japan ![]() The prefecture is basically an agricultural area, producing rice, fruit (especially pears), tobacco, and dairy products. Industry is concentrated in the cities of Yonago, Kurayoshi, and Tottori. Products include machinery, processed foods, paper and pulp, textiles, and wood articles. Tottori city is noted for its university. The electrified San-in Line (railway) runs along the prefecture's coast, and branch lines run south to Okayama. Pop. (1989 est.) city, 141,659; (1990) prefecture, 615,741. |
