释义 | Lunéville France town in the Meurthe-et-Moselle département, Lorraine région, eastern France, situated at the confluence of the Vezouze and Meurthe rivers, east-southeast of Nancy. Incorporated in the duchy of Lorraine in the 15th century, it was joined to France in 1766. The Treaty of Lunéville between France and Austria was signed there in 1801. The 18th-century planned town has a fine château, inspired by Versailles, and a church built in a Rococo style. Main industries include the production of china, electronics, and machinery. Pop. (1999) 20,200; (2005 est.) 19,500. |
