释义 | pure poetry message-free verse that is concerned with exploring the essential musical nature of the language rather than with conveying a narrative or having didactic purpose. The term has been associated particularly with the poems of Edgar Allan Poe. Pure poetry was also written by George Moore (who published An Anthology of Pure Poetry in 1924), Charles Baudelaire, and T.S. Eliot. Others who have experimented with the form include Stéphane Mallarmé, Paul Verlaine, Paul Valéry, Juan Ramón Jiménez, and Jorge Guillén. |
