释义 | blason satiric verse a type of catalog verse in which something is either praised or blamed through a detailed listing of its attributes or faults. The word is normally used more specifically to refer to a type of verse in which aspects of the beloved's appearance are enumerated. This type of blason was said to have been invented by the French poet Clement Marot (Marot, Clément) in 1536. The word is from the Middle French for “eulogy” or “reproach” and literally means “coat of arms.” |
